It’s that time of the year! The nights are darker, the Christmas coffeeshop cups are out, the John Lewis advert is out… of course, Christmas. Started your Christmas shopping? Finished it? Or haven’t even started? Don’t worry, I’ve decided to do Christmas gift guides to give you inspiration for a Christmas present for your loved ones.
Today, it’s another round of food picks! Yesterday there were a lot of great cookbooks for some inspiration for you for Christmas presents this year for your loved ones. Today, there are even more fab cookbooks for you. Today, we have:
- Donal Shekhan: Meals In Minutes: I’ve included this one because it’s all about easy prep and delicious meals. Where as Gizzi Erksine’s Slow takes things a lot slower, this book is about creating delicious meals, in you guessed it, minutes. I think this book is a great one to get someone out of a cooking rut and creating something delicious. A loved one who is constantly working but not eating good healthy hearty meals? Perhaps this can help. I’ve cooked from this book and it was delicious. Brilliant and productive. What more could you want from a cookbook?
- The Hubb Community Kitchen: Together: This book is a special one. Following the Grenfell disaster, a group of women in the local community came together to cook food for their friends, families and neighbours. Through this, this started the Hubb Community Kitchen. In this book, there are fifty recipes that come from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, etc. Every dish has a story and a significance and I think this book will make the perfect present. All profits from this book will go to the Hubb Community Kitchen. And, of course, has been supported by HRH The Duchess of Sussex.
- Jamie Oliver: Jamie’s Friday Night Feast Cookbook: This is the cookbook companion to Jamie & Jamie’s Friday Night on Channel 4! I love that show with it’s wonderful celebrity guests, delicious food and important and educational films too. In this book, there’s recipes from Jamie himself but also the dishes that the celebs create too. From Fearne Cotton, David Tennant, Paloma Faith, and many more. A perfect book for any Jamie Oliver fan and beautiful recipes to cook on the weekend.
- Joe Wicks: Veggie Lean In 15: Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, is back with a brand new cookbook. This time, it’s veggie! Joe takes his Body Coach method but with a veggie twist. His books have been incredibly popular over the recent years and I think this is going to be a big one, especially at Christmas. Also, like his other books, there are workouts too, so even perfect for a Christmas present to get fit in January. As well as the recipes being vegetarian, there are a number of recipes that are vegan too. I can’t wait for this one! But, it’s not out yet! This book comes out on the 13th December! A perfect cookbook for any vegetarian in your life or a big Joe Wicks fan to add to their collection.
And that’s it for food! I’ve really enjoyed doing the food gift guides as I just love a cookbook at Christmas. They are the perfect Christmas presents and will hopefully last a lifetime. I want all of these cookbooks – they are just so beautiful and full of delicious recipes! I hope there was something there that sprinkled some inspiration for some Christmas presents for your loved ones. If so, do let me know! I’d love to know!
