CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDES | NON-FICTION #1

It’s that time of the year! The nights are darker, the Christmas coffeeshop cups are out, the John Lewis advert is out… of course, Christmas. Started your Christmas shopping? Finished it? Or haven’t even started? Don’t worry,  I’ve decided to do Christmas gift guides to give you inspiration for a Christmas present for your loved ones.

In today’s gift guide, it’s time for the first four picks of non-fiction! I love a good non-fiction book, especially at Christmas. They make the perfect presents for people for Christmas, and there’s a good mix in these picks. So, today we have:

  1. Deborah Frances-White: The Guilty Feminist: The podcast, The Guilty Feminist is one of the most successful and most brilliant podcasts out there. And now? It’s now a book too! I think this is a great book, not just for fans of the podcast, but in general too. I’ve listened to a good few episodes of the podcast and loved it. Just like the podcast, I’m sure this is just as witty and entertaining.
  2. Lauren Bravo: What Would The Spice Girls Do?: Know someone who’s a MASSIVE Spice Girls fan? Have you booked tickets for a surprise? Why not wrap them up with this book too? This is a great, hilarious and brilliant book all about the Spice Girls and their legacy and looks how the ‘girl power generation’ grew up. I think this makes the perfect Christmas present because it’s so small! It would be perfect for Secret Santa/a stocking filler. If you want to read more of my thoughts about this book, you can read my review here.
  3. Sali Hughes: Pretty Iconic: Another brilliant book that’s the perfect Christmas present. This is Sali Hughes’ Pretty Iconic but now out in paperback. In this book, the beauty journalist Sali Hughes, explores the most iconic products in the beauty industry. Know someone who’s obsessed with beauty? I think this one will be a great present. I’ve already got it in mind for some people this Christmas…
  4. Zoe Sugg: Cordially Invited: This is a great Christmas present because it covers the seasons of the year. From colourful baking in Spring, the big Summer party, making Autumn wreaths and making the perfect Christmas crafts in Winter… this book is a great companion to have throughout the year. This book is also great for people who love to host with tips and tricks from the hostess with the mostess, Zoe Sugg. This is a wonderful Christmas present also for fans of her YouTube channel. I’ve got this book and there’s some wonderful recipes with some fantastic design and photography too.

And that’s the first four picks of non-fiction! I’ve tried to make these more ‘Christmas present’ orientated and I think these fit the bill nicely. I really do think the Spice Girls book would make the perfect Secret Santa/stocking filler – it’s just so small but brilliant!

If you found some inspiration in those picks, do let me know! I’d love to hear from you. Tomorrow, I’m going to be sharing four more picks of non-fiction, again, some brilliant books in the mix…

Also, have you signed up to my newsletter? The first one is going out next month (not long to go now) and you can sign up here.

See you tomorrow at 6pm!

Thanks,

Corey.
